Sandra Jonas Publishing House was founded in 2013. Working with writers for more than a decade, editor and designer Sandra Jonas was eager to offer them a path to publication and national distribution that had been out of their reach. She has assembled a talented team of professionals who share her desire to partner with authors to produce distinctive books that compete well in the marketplace.
Sandra began her career as an electrical engineer in aerospace, developing software and writing proposals. Several years later, she found her true calling when she transitioned into copyediting and designing books. She brings a meticulous attention to detail, sharp organizational skills, and a can-do attitude to every project she undertakes.
Our Guiding Principles
When authors partner with us, they can expect us to conduct our business with the utmost integrity. Our operations are based on these main principles:
Personal Attention. Our livelihood hinges on authors, and we’re dedicated to being there for them every step of the way. We provide prompt communication, a forum for brainstorming ideas, and a patient ear. Releasing a book is exciting but often stressful, and we want to smooth the waters as much as possible.
Quality. At the heart of everything we do is an unshakeable commitment to excellence—a must in a highly competitive book market. Whether it’s our customer service, editorial and design practices, or promotional efforts, we strive to deliver nothing but the best.
Outreach. Maximum exposure is critical. We work with authors to devise a comprehensive marketing strategy that encompasses traditional print and online media. We closely watch the trends to make sure our customized plans are both innovative and cost-effective.
Passion. We love books and care deeply about every project. We look for the same in our authors, selecting only those manuscripts that inspire us and promise to engage the reader. The publishing process is a lot more fun when we’re all doing what we love!
“My coauthor, Marty Ohlhaut, and I had the opportunity to partner with Sandra Jonas on the publication of our debut book, Tent for Seven. Working with her was a game changer. She is an expert in the art of storytelling and guided us through the editorial process both contextually and grammatically. We would highly recommend to anyone who is lucky enough to get the chance to work with her, to take that opportunity. We’re so glad we did.”
